Dear Make A Wish Foundation,

Thanks you so much for granting my wish to go to Disney. My family and I had the most incredible time during our vacation we were treated like royalty at Give Kids the World Village. We were able to go to 6 amusement parks in 5 days. We started our week at Universal Studios and ended with Magic Kingdom. We also tried to participate in many of the activities the Village had to offer. The village is truly a magical place filled with wonderful volunteers and awesome activities for everyone in my family. My big brother Tommy said it was the best five days of his life!

Some of my favorite things included: riding Big Mountain Thunder roller coaster and flume rides, driving my mom on the speedway, seeing the Monsters, Inc. Laugh floor show and the Shamu show at Sea World. At the Village I ate ice cream everyday-EVEN on Saturday for breakfast before we headed to the airport. I had a great time at the Kids Nite Out and I loved seeing the snow fall while we were waiting to see Santa. I rode the carousel a few times and visited the castle of miracles where my star is now on the ceiling. I loved having my nails done at La Ti Da Spa while my brothers got airbrush tattoos. I also enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing miniature golf whenever we had free time.


It was so nice to go away and not think about Leukemia for a whole week! I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on my 4th birthday and I had to miss my own birthday party that year. I completed thirteen months of heavy chemo which included multiple hospitalizations and many, many out patient clinic visits. I am now in a lighter phase of treatment that will last until May, 2010.

I had the best time on my vacation and I continue to talk about it and look at pictures from out trip. Thank you again for giving us these wonderful family memories!
