I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate my Wish trip to Hawaii. It was a ton of fun. I really thank you for pulling that together as I am sure it was a lot of work. It was a long wait to get to go and a really long flight but well worth it as it was a great trip! We had a lot of really cool, different experiences there.

The Pro Bowl was a lot of fun – it was warm and sunny (and the brunch before was great too.) We had very good seats and it was actually a pretty good game. It usually is not as the players take it really easy on each other. Plus we were cheering for the NFC and they won.

Two days before the game we were able to go the players’ hotel and watch practice. We were right up close with the players and most were really nice guys. Afterwards, they walked by and gave out autographs to everyone and I got two footballs covered with them. I also got pictures with some players, like Peyton Manning and Troy Polamalu., and I was able to see Brian Dawkins for the last time as a Philadelphia Eagle. That was great but a real bummer that he left the team. After the players left, we ran around and played some football on the practice field too.

One of my other favorite experiences was going up in a helicopter and touring the island of Oahu. We got to see the mountains, Pearl Harbor, some giant craters, and all the cool beaches from above. It was pretty scary at first and my mom was a nervous wreck but it was so amazing. I will never forget that experience

I also got to go in the water with dolphins. My brother Christian and I, with the assistance of my dad, attended a dolphin swim program at a nearby hotel. We sat on the edge of the water with an awesome dolphin, whose name I can’t spell but it meant “rascal” in Hawaiian. They are really smart and beautiful animals. It was very fun to be in the water and interact and feed them.

I blogged almost every day and got credit in my English class for keeping it. I have attached some pictures of our adventures.

Once again, I sincerely appreciate all the stuff you organized for us. It was a wonderful family vacation and we will never forget all the fun.

Thanks for being so patient with all my pre-trip anxiety and stressed out emails. We especially appreciate the extra days and the direct flight. The travel was hard on Luke and he needed a lot of time to recover from the flight (as we predicted). It was great he could recuperate before all the Pro Bowl events began. It all came together and was a great (once in a lifetime!) family experience.
