Volunteers are the backbone of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia & Susquehanna Valley. It is through the hard work and commitment of our 150+ volunteers that we are able to continue granting more wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions each year. Our volunteers work together with our staff, providing their unique knowledge and service, to transform a child's wish into reality.

Our Blue Bell office currently has a full complement of volunteers, but check back for any changes in our situation.

Volunteer descriptions are as follows:

Wishgranting
Meeting the wish children and their families to determine what their special wish may be.

Fundraising/Special Events
There is always some activity going on to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation and volunteers are needed to help out in various ways.

Public Relations
Organizations, clubs, churches etc, often request a speaker to learn more about Make-A-Wish Foundation and its mission. Volunteers on this committee will be asked to attend these functions and speak in behalf of the organization.

Translation Services
Anyone with bilingual talents who can help our volunteers communicate with non-English speaking families.

Medical Outreach
Anyone who can help get the word out on Make-A-Wish Foundation at the local hospitals by attending our regular Bingo nights, participating in story hours or special holiday events at the hospitals.
