The Middle Atlantic Conference Student Athlete Advisory Committee (MAC SAAC) set a goal in 2011 for each school in the conference to raise $500 for Make-A-Wish®.
Widener University’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (WU SAAC), a group of approximately 45 students representing all of the sports offered at Widener, decided to meet that goal by selling Widener Pride magnets from December 2011 to January 2012 with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish. When the totals were in, not only did they meet the goal of $500, they exceeded it by 800% raising a grand total of $4,480!

A huge thank you to the LVC DT for their support!! This past Saturday, the Lebanon Valley College Dance Team performed their Holiday Kickline at halftime of the LVC Basketball game. Wish Kid Megan performed with the Dance Team and the team collected donations for Make-A-Wish afterwards!

Special thank you to Chi Omega Iota Lambda of Villanova. They raised enough money this year to grant Aiden’s wish to go to Disney and they met him and his family at the airport for a “send off party”

A very special thank you to the Robert Berger Pediatric Society of PCOM. Once again, they raised almost $5000 through their Date Auction, held in February. Due to their efforts, Jacqueline was able to go to the Grammys for her wish!
Immaculata University held the 2nd Annual Volley-a-Wish to benefit Make-A-Wish. A special thank you to everyone that participated in the benefit and also to Denise Hale, our wonderful volunteer! The students did a great job of creating a special night for everyone involved! Thank you!!!

Representatives of Flag Football for Kids came to the office to present a check of $1500. FFK is a state-licensed non-profit organization founded in Philadelphia by medical students from the University of PA School of medicine. They are based on the tenets of promoting lifelong fitness, sportsmanship and charity. FFK has been around for several years and raised money for many different causes but in October they had their biggest event yet to benefit Make-A-Wish!!! Thank you to everyone that participated!
